Badger IQT Progress

Post by Zeus » Wed Mar 27, 2019 11:48 pm

Cadet/IP: Badger / Zeus
Check Ride #: IQT-1 / IQT-2
Check Ride Date: 25 Mar 2019
Score: Pass
Debrief: Please join me in welcoming Badger to the 176th VTS. As many of you already know, Badger comes to us from the 20th VFW and I'm excited to have them merge with the 440th - they make a great addition! Badger and I went up for a quick IQT-1/-2 flight which he easily passed with flying colors. He made quick work of the incoming bombers using TWS mode, splahed his designated -23 and lead us into a very quick grand slam of the -29s. We got a splash of fuel and then did some missile evasion work and topped it off with an OHB back at Kunsan...flights this easy even manage to make an IP look good! :) Looking forward to seeing Badger in the v-skies with us.

Ready to go...

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

It was the ability of Zeus, adjusting to my errors, that make those turns look so sharp.

Cadet/IP: Badger / Zeus
Check Ride #: IQT-3
Check Ride Date: 27 Mar 2019
Score: Pass
Debrief: And we are just moving right along with Badger as he passes IQT-3. The MiGs keep getting smarter and it shows as we had our hands full with a pesky -21 that just wouldn't give up and insisted on flying at tree-top level on the edge of a stall. We finally found and killed him but by that time his buddy in the MiG-23 had showed up; Badger had eyes on him in no time and we dispatched him much more easily. The final -21 was a guns kill by Badger. Need to watch the Rmin on some shots but got the job done! On to some ground pounding.

Nice no interval departure

Cadet/IP: Badger / Zeus (w/ Jasrags & Derk)
Check Ride #: IQT-4
Check Ride Date: 10 Apr 2019
Score: Pass
Debrief: The other night Badger and I joined Jasrags & Derk for a run out to the KOTAR range and our IQT-4 flight. It was a great mission with all pilots brining their A game. Comms were good, pattern work good and weapons were on target. Nice work by everyone involved. Nothing like a 4-ship in the groove at the range! :)

Full flight, ready to go...

He crashes and passes? The only thing he passed was how to shoot himself down! I am claiming totally unfair. What are you doing for him Badger? Or should you mention it?

Congrats!
