Operation: Red Dawn

Post by Zeus » Sun Oct 31, 2021 4:14 pm

Mission Background
Despite pressure from numerous countries, Redland has continued to further their ballistic missile development program. Much to everyone’s surprise, Redland’s advances have come at an astonishing pace, leading military analysts to believe that they are receiving outside aid or possibly even direct weapons shipments from their allies.

Blueland intelligence services have learned from satellite imaging and intercepted radio traffic that an Orangeland cargo ship left its home waters yesterday and was last spotted less than 10 miles from Sinp’o Shipyard - Redland’s primary missile development and testing area.

HQ believes this cargo vessel contains either critical components or actual missiles themselves.
We have been asked to prevent their delivery if possible and destroy any weapons that have already been offloaded.

Full Mission Briefing material attached below

Bulldog1 and Hawkeye5 will depart from Choongwon and proceed directly to the target area to perform initial air sweep and destroy the primary SAM threats (3 x SA-2s and 1 x SA-5). They will hold the airspace until relieved by Weasel2 then proceed to tankers for refueling and egress.

Weasel2, Warhawk3 and Spade4 will depart Taegu and proceed to the refueling area to take on fuel before proceeding to target area. Strict AAR timing is in place; read the briefing material. While Weasel2 maintains air superiority, Warhawk3 will destroy or suppress any remaining SA threats and provide backup for Weasel2 and Spade4. Spade4 is responsible for ensuring no missiles/missile components fall into Redland's hands. All flights are to depart the area no later than 20:25z

Bulldog1 and Hawkeye5 will hold the lower portion of the egress route open until the rest of the package rejoins. All flights should then proceed directly to their respective bases, no further refueling.

Kangnung is available as an alternate. If diverting, you must remain on the ground until mission completion.

Warhawk3 will require pilots who are able to execute a variety of roles, from CAP to SEAD to AI as the mission unfolds. Most challenging seats.
