Debrief: Welcome Blade! Multi-player BMS is new to Blade (as it was to all of us at one point) and having a VFW to help learn all the complexities and share in the challenges is part of why we exist as a wing so it was a great pleasure to fly our first IQT flight this past weekend. Blade was well prepared for the flight and did a great job with the SOPs and other MP nuances that back in our SP days we all either skipped or never knew about. And he did a great job with the formation flying and we even took a swing at some tac turns - not bad for what was essentially his first MP flight. We hit the tanker as well where he connected in 90 seconds even if it was only for a brief time. We then headed over to Kunsan where we will begin the rest of our IQT training. Nice flight Blade!
Ready to head out from Kadena (busy ramp) Rejoined On the boom Looking forward to IQT-2!

Welcome, Blade! Good work.
IQT-1 with Zeus was also my first-ever MP flight, a few months ago. I hope you learn as much, and have as much fun, as I did in IQT!

Debrief: Great flight with Blade last night. He smacked down the two incoming TUs and did great against the MiGs as they tried their best to evade, run and catch us off guard. We used a little more fuel than expected in the first part of the flight so we had to sneak in a refueling between engagements 2 and 3. Blade managed to get on the tanker and top off while in the turn and before the MiG-29s could get on station; awesome work! We finished it up with an OHB back into Kunsan. Now its time to dogfight!
Ready to go on 18 Two Bravos finding their targets - double splash! Splash goes the MiG Refueling in the turn While this -29A had me on the defensive, Blade blindsided him with a slammer! Setting up for the OHB. Nice flight Blade!

Debrief: Another successful flight with Blade the other night. This time is was in close for some dog fighting. Blade did a great job scoring some quick kills and talking me in for a kill as well. His AAR work continues to be very solid and his MP skills are growing fast. Not bad for a guy with only 4-5 MP flights in total! Looking forward now for some ground pounding exercises!
Ramping up before our flight A MiG take a noses dive after being hit by Blade's heater Moments after I merge another MiG goes down in flames...that was quick! Grabbing some gas Finally, I get to have some fun Nice flight Blade - half way there!

Check Ride Date: 09 Nov 2019

Debrief: A successful IQT-4 flight with Blade that took out an airstrip, lots of enemy vehicles and saw some nice work out at the range. Blade's got a good handle on the jet and the SOPs at this point and continues to demonstrate that he knows how to put weapons on targets. Our low-level run was smooth as could be and while it took a couple passes, he was able to string 3 CBUs in a row and wipe out some enemy vehicles. Then, in desperate need of fuel, he pulled the tanker in the turn before we headed to the range. He did a nice job on the range and we finished up with a TRP back into Yechon. Nice work Blade!
Getting ready to head out Scratch one airstrip Shack!! Grabbing some much needed fuel in the turn Putting weapons on target Back at Yechon Now for a little night flying!

Debrief: After a brief respite over the holiday, Blade and I got back at it with a nice relaxing SEAD flight at night.
Blade did a nice job bore sighting the Mavs and grabbing some gas on the tanker before we headed into enemy territory. First up - smack down an SA-2 that had just launched on flight lead...Blade timed it perfectly. Then lead took out an SA-2 north of the target area. The southern SA-2 operators were clearly well trained as they managed to evade two HARMs by switching off their guidance just in time causing the HARMs to lose lock. With our HARMs exhausted we decided to work around the SA-2 and focused our attention to the SA-3. Blade nailed it with his first Mav shot! That opened the door to a few quick passes to let the other Mavs loose on the remaining launchers. We then headed over to Kangnung to spend the night before heading out on the final IQT flight. Nice work Blade!
A busy ramp at Yechon as we prepare for our departure. Grabbing some fuel Shack the SA-2 just in time No more Low Blow Passing markpoints for MAvs Only one more to go Blade!

Debrief: Congrats to Blade for completing IQT-6 this weekend. Another great flight with Blade scoring perfect hits using his GBUs and LGBs. He also did a nice job on the tanker connecting in only 34 seconds. His loft deliveries both showed good technique with releases on each pass but we had to sneak in one last lesson to remember before calling it quits; remember to clear you CZ when you are going after targets with known/preset locations. So other than that little hiccup we had a great flight and indeed a really well flow IQT course overall. Blade will make a great addition to the wing (we even took him on his first post-IQT flight after this and he landed back at Kunsan in some really nasty weather (1km vis, 1,000' ceiling and nasty cross winds) and I'm looking forward to flying with him more.
Ramping up for our last IQT flight Shack the Naval Docks Tanks burning after our first LGB pass. Grabbin some fuel in the turn Missed it by that much (note the ZSUs still there on the right side) Awesome job overall Blade - Welcome!
