Tequila IQT Progress

Post by Derk » Thu Jan 12, 2023 5:05 am

Cadet/IP: Tequila / Derk
Check Ride #: IQT-1
Check Ride Date: 11 January 2023
Score: Pass

Debrief: Debrief: Grab your margarita and help me toast a welcome to “Tequila” into IQT. Tequila comes with limited BMS experience and zero MP time, but our first IQT flight didn’t show that as it was a solid start all around. After departure from Kunsan he tucked into a nice route position on our way to the practice area. Once at altitude and speed, we started some tac turn maneuvers. It took a few turns to feel the flow, but it soon seemed to ‘click’ pretty good. We even got in a couple Delayed 45's. Next we chased the tanker around a bit then headed back for the overhead break at Kunsan to successfully complete IQT-1. Over the next few flights we’ll work on refining power and speed management during maneuvers and stability to get connected to the tanker. I expect these will come soon and develop into solid Wingman support for the Lead.

Nice work Tequila! Study up and practice the boom and you’ll be looking good for IQT-2 doing ground strike operations.

Whoa - very nice flight especially considering essentially no MP time. Very impressive, keep up the great work.
