Lethal IQT Progress

Post by Zeus » Mon Jan 04, 2021 1:12 am

Cadet/IP: Lethal / Zeus
Check Ride #: IQT-1 / IQT-2
Check Ride Date: 3 Jan 2021
Score: Pass

Debrief: Along with the new year please join me in welcoming Lethal, one of our recent cadets. Lethal has had a fair amount of Viper stick time but this is his first BMS VFW and is off to a great start with today's IQT-1 flight. He's got a smooth hand on the jet which allowed him to execute some great tac turns and get on the boom fairly quickly to grab some gas. He's also got a good grasp of the basic SOPs already. Looking forward to mixing things up in the next couple flights to see how he handles himself in combat.

Great work!

My first ever multiplayer flight ever was also with Zeus in IQT-1 and he's made a (half) decent pilot out of me. Sounds like you had a much smoother time of it than I did, well done.

Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed the ride and am looking forward to the rest of IQT and honing those AAR skills further.

B]Cadet/IP: Lethal / Zeus[/B]
Check Ride #: IQT-2
Check Ride Date: 10 Jan 2021
Score: Pass

Debrief: Lethal continues on his IQT journey completing IQT-2 today with flying colors. We took off from Kunsan and rejoined as we headed up to our CAP station practicing a couple tac turns along the way. Once on station, it didn't take long before we encountered some Tu-16s coming in - Lethal quickly dispatched the lead while I cleaned up the leaker. Back on station we were soon advised of an incoming pair of MiG-23s. Turning north we sorted the targets and launched our slammers - the MiGs went down moments after. In our final engagement, we simulated a leaker by having Lethal only engage a single -29 in the incoming pair then turn tail and run allowing me to clear his six. After that it was off for a quick splash of fuel and a little missile evasion practice - both of which went quite well. We landed back at Kunsan and are ready to take on the next challenge. Keep up the good work Lethal!
