BARCAP from FNPU/Scramble Jan18,2019

With Derk as lead, Stalker as #2, and I'm #3. It ain't perfect, but it was pretty intense, and went very well!

That was fun. Derk’s an awesome FL and Thump’s an excellent EL....and on a more probable than not basis, the only reason I made it back to home plate in one piece! 🍻

Thanks for posting that and for the kind words. I had my concern with a no-notice 'Scramble' mission, but it sounded fun and exciting. We did learn that we could take-off and be ready to engage from a cold start in under 10 minutes.

Stalker definitely help me look good as a lead with good solid shots and being right on top of things. Thumper is a good trusted fighter pilot that can easily handle his own when needed. Even after 8 to 9 months of being away from things they still have that edge.

Our Scramble mission was based on an alert message that interrupted our normal pre-flight briefing to order us to intercept hostile aircraft invading unprotected air around Kunsan. They would be in engagement range in 15 minutes - be in the air in 10. We cleared the wave of hostile aircraft with minimal loss - mission Complete!
