I can remember this game. It's from 1993. It was an promotion game for the the german forces back than.

In the old days, WW1 and even into WW2...
Favoring a left or right turn had to do with the torque of the prop and engine direction (not all countries fighters props turned the same direction CW or CCW). So like the Red Baron's DR1 was able to do port turns way faster than right, and usually British, French and American fighters couldnt out turn it in that direction. But it was the slower speed of the DR1 that was its weakness compared to the Camel and other fighters of the day.

As far as it being a human factors thing, before hydrollic assistance, it probably was easier for a right handed pilot to pull the stick to the left, and visa versa for the south paw.
